Agrishow is the biggest and most important agribusiness tradeshow in Latin America, and annually brings together some 800 brands that present a number of innovations in machinery, agricultural implements, irrigation systems, accessories, parts and other products, with the objective to increase the productivity of the cultivation of the rural producers and, thus, reduce costs with inputs, natural resources and time worked, increasing the profitability of agribusiness.
Occupying an area of 440,000 square meters, the tradeshow had news in this issue, as Arena do Conhecimento (Knowledge Arena), which was the stage of presentations of new technologies, knowledge and trends, aiming to bring information relevant to the day-to-day and business of professionals in the field.
In 2017, R$2.2 billion (Approximately US$ 700 million) were traded during the five days of the tradeshow, a growth of 13% compared to last year.
The relevance of Agrishow
Agrishow is considered an engine for Brazilian agribusiness, as it has undergone several economic, political and social scenarios, always providing an ideal environment for conducting business, for presenting trends that have contributed to the development of the sector and the economy of Brazil, for the dissemination of knowledge and new techniques for management in the field, for the diffusion of technologies aimed at sustainability and for productivity, as well as a platform for investment announcements and public and private credits for the sector.

New options in precision agriculture
We have presented solutions for speed and position sensing that can be applied to Planters, Harvesters, Balers, Tractors, Sowers and Sprayers. Our encoders and accessories provide greater accuracy, speed and durability than traditional position sensors.
And we also have local engineering for new developments. There are other advantages, such as production lead times that can be up to 1 business day (eliminates the need for inventory), local technical assistance (shorter repair time and better quality control) and also collaborate to increase the nationalization index of the machines ( FINAME Agrícola).
There is also a portfolio of imported encoders, with several other options. Who visited our stand can also know the exclusive encoder RR25, which was designed for the agricultural sector and has unprecedented technologies such as resistance to corrosion by common chemicals in the field.

It began in 1955 in Gurnee, Illinois, United States, and expanded through acquisitions including the Dynapar ™, Hengstler ™, NorthStar ™, Harowe ™ and Encoder Technology ™ product range.
GEMS SENSORS & CONTROLS
Sensors for the main field applications
Gems offers solutions for level, pressure and flow measurement and control. Several models of pressure transducers and pressure switches, punctual and continuous level meters and flow sensors were also available at the tradeshow.
High technology in critical applications
Each product produced by Gems has been carefully designed to effectively respond to a myriad of process measurement challenges. Fluid detection applications, for example, can be particularly complex. The measured medium may change unexpectedly in both the viscosity and the dielectric constant, depending on the conditions. Sometimes, certain additional complications can occur due to the presence of foam, paste and particles.
The end-use environment can still present high risks of corrosion, high temperatures, high vibrations, overpressures and combustion, that is, several variables that need to be taken into account for the process to achieve high performance. Gems, based on its 60-year sensor customization experience, understands that by ensuring the depth, strength, quality and continuous responsiveness of our global supply chain, the company can ensure a fast, intelligent, client.

More than 60 years of experience in sensing applications, with a personalized service, close to the customer, offering flexible products that adapt to each application, always with the commitment to propose to its customers the solution with the best cost benefit and high Performance.
Thomson Linear Motion
The main market of the actuators
What is expected of a brand that operates in the agricultural segment is that its products have as main characteristics, quality, technology and robustness. It is precisely at these points that Thomson stands out and will be presenting alongside its products. Linear electric actuators with large load capacity and displacement travel, in addition to a more complete electronic package available in the market that offers analogue / digital feedback, electronic current monitoring, final and intermediate detection of course and also communication protocol CANBUS J1939.
Thomson Electric Linear Actuators outperform pneumatic and hydraulic systems in many respects important to agricultural machine manufacturers and their customers. Lower cost of design, installation and operation of the machine, greater mechanical and operator safety, greater productivity in all stages.
